Can I take a pic of any advertisement?
Yes, but the ad must be in the April issue of W Magazine or on a designated kiosk around New York City.
What happens if I take a picture of an editorial page or an ad that is not in W Magazine?
You will get an error message and will be prompted to try again.
Does it matter what
quality of camera phone I have?
The quality of the camera is not nearly as important as the overall
quality of
the photo. Pongr works with most of today's camera phones. You should
take a pic as if you wanted to show it off to friends. Clean and crisp
pics
always look better to everyone!
Does it matter what distance I shoot the
image from?
You should try to capture as much of the ad as possible and minimize the
background noise. Imagine you were trying to take a pic of something you
wanted
as wallpaper on your phone.
How long until I receive a message back
from sending in my image?
It depends on the speed of your wireless carrier network,
but generally speaking responses are delivered in less than 2 minutes.
Pongr processes your pic in about 5 seconds, but we send it back through
networks that are sometimes not as fast. Be patient and know that if
you
did submit something, you will receive confirmation.
I don't have a camera phone with email capabilities; can I still enter the sweepstakes?
Yes, go to wdesires.com/sweeps to upload a photo of an ad from the April issue of W Magazine, complete the entry form and submit.
How do I enter the sweepstakes?
There are two ways to enter: (1) Snap a picture with your mobile phone of any advertisement in the April 2010 issue of W Magazine or the ad displayed in designated Kiosks in New York City and send it to w@pongr.com during the Promotion Period (standard email messaging rates apply); or (2) visit www.wdesires.com/sweeps during the Promotion Period and follow the instructions to upload a photo of any advertisement in the April 2010 issue of W Magazine or the ad displayed in the NYC Kiosks and complete and submit the entry form.
How many times can I enter the sweepstakes?
You may enter as often as you like but each entry must be a separate unique photo.
When will I know if I won the sweepstakes?
Winner selection will be conducted by random drawing from all eligible entries on or about May 4, 2010 (the “Drawing Date”). Any potential winner will be notified by mail, email and/or telephone.
How much does it cost to enter the sweepstakes?
No purchase is necessary. Standard email messaging rates apply.
