When can I submit my photographs?
Photography submissions will be accepted from August 16, 2010 through September 20, 2010.
How many photographs can I submit?
Each entrant can submit one image that must be jpg, jpeg, or gif files and cannot exceed 5MB for each file.
What else must be included with my entry?
An essay not to exceed 250 words describing your entry and the influence behind it. Incomplete entries will not be judged.
What kind of photography should I submit?
We're looking for a picture of you that shows your creativity and individuality. Show us your personal style. There are no restrictions on the color or treatment of images.
How will the photography entries be judged?
The judges will score entries based on the following criteria: Relevancy to theme, visual interest, expression of emotion, and creativity/originality.
How many winners will there be?
The winning photograph will be chosen through three stages of judging:
1) In the first round, our panel of professional judges will select 20 semi-finalists.
2) In the second round, which spans from October 5, 2010 until November 8, 2010,
the semi-finalists’ work will appear online at wobsessions.com/individualstylesweeps and the public will have the opportunity to vote.
3) The one entry with the highest number of votes as of 11:59 PM ET November 8, 2010 will be declared the winner.
What is the grand prize package?
The winning submission will win participation in an art world “how-to” roundtable discussion, led by LAXART Director/Curator Lauri Firstenberg, Nikon™ SLR D40 camera, and at Sponsor's discretion, a feature spread in one eighty magazine, published by Academy of Art University’s
School of Fashion and distributed at New York Fashion Week.
